History of department 

     The department was founded in 1962 under the name "Automation and Remote Control" by the honored worker of science and technology, academician M.Z. Khamudkhanov. The names of the department changed from 2004/2005 academic year to "Automation and Management", from 2012/2013 academic year to "Information Technology in Management" and from July 1, 2016 to "Intelligent Engineering Systems". Since the foundation of the department of the present period, the department was headed by the following scientists:

- from 1962 to 1972 Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan Khamudkhanov M.Z .;

- from 1972 to 1975 Ph.D., associate professor Sayfullaev I .;

- from 1975 to 1993 Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Kadirov OA;

- from 1993 to 1996 and from 2001 to 2003 Doctor of Technical Sciences, associate professor Siddikov I.Kh.

- from 1996 to 2001, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Zakhidov BA;

- from 2003 to 2012 Doctor of Technical Sciences, prof. Igamberdiev H.Z .;

- from 2012 to 2015 Doctor of Technical Sciences, Assoc. Zaripov O.O.

- from 2015 to the present period Ph.D., Assoc. Sevinov Zh.U.

     Up to the present time more than 3000 "electrical engineers" have been issued by the department, and more than 1000 "system engineers" specializing in "Automation and telemechanics" and more than 100 bachelors in the direction "Automation and Control" and more than 100 masters in the field of "Management" In technical systems "," Technical diagnostics and reliability of control systems ", as well as" Management of robotic systems and complexes ". Graduates carry out their activities in all spheres of production and contribute to the development of science and technology of our Republic.

Scientific and research activity of the Department 

     The department carried out research work on two fundamental projects in the framework of the GTIN:

1) OT-F4-78 on the theme: "Development of theoretical foundations and regular methods for the synthesis of adaptive control systems for dynamic objects based on the identification approach" (in 2017, 50.0 million sum). Project Leader - prof. Igamberdiev H.Z.

Scientific-methodical work of the department

     Over the past 3 years, the faculty has produced 8 monographs, more than 300 articles at conferences and scientific journals produced in the republican and foreign countries, and received certificates for 15 software tools and 6 patents for inventions. Over the past 3 years, two doctoral dissertations have been defended. In departnmet regularly conducted research projects in fundamental, applied and innovative projects in the framework of the state scientific and technical programs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

 Types of professional activity:
