History of department

     Department has been created in 1964 on basis faculty of chemical-technological of the Tashkent polytechnical institute of a named after Abu Raykhan Beruni (nowadays Tashkent state technical university).

   In 1964-1965 the deserved originator of Uzbekistan, Cand.Tech.Sci., docent Tashpulatov Husniddin Pulatovich managed the deparment (1927-1965y).

   With 1966 after 2013 the academician of Academy Of Science Republic Of Uzbekistan, the Honored worker of a science of Uzbekistan, the Winner of the state bonus of a name of Beruni in technics and science sphere, a Dr.Sci.Tech., professor Nadyrbek Rustambekovich Yusupbekov managed the department. Now manager is Dr.Sci.Tech. Yusupbekov Azizbek.

    Department for many years prepares process engineers in automation of chemical and technological processes. Since 2008-2009 academic year starts preparing bachelors in 523800- "Automation of technological processes and manufactures" (by industry) and master's degree 5A521802- "Automation of technological processes and manufactures" (by industry) and 5A523801- "Automation of Chemical Industry".

     From 2011-2012 academic year so far in the the department prepares bachelors in 5311000- "Automation and control of technological processes and manufactures" (by industry) and masters in the specialty 5A311001- "Automation of technological processes and manufactures" (by industry)..

Scientific and research activity of the Department

 

     Professors and teachers of the department regularly engaged in research work in such scientific fields as "Processes and devices of chemical technology", "Automation and management of technological processes and manufactures", "instruments. Methods of measurement and control. "

    The department carried out research work on two fundamental projects in the framework of the GTIN:

     1) F-4-56- "Development of theoretical principles and methods of structural and parametric synthesis of complex technological objects intelligent control systems based on fuzzy multiple representations" (in 2016 allocated 49.0 mln. 843 thous. Soums). Project leader - acad. Yusupbekov NR

     2) F-7-47- "Theoretical Foundations of separation processes of multicomponent mixtures" (in 2016 allocated 40.0 mln. 611 thous. Soums). Project leader - prof. Guliamov Sh.M.

     In addition, also in the framework of the GTIN at the department carried out research work on 1 project application A-5-40 - «Development of methods and hardware and software for intelligent management of traffic objects" (in 2016 allocated 54.0 million 750 thousand. . soums). Scientific-methodical work of the department

     As part of a major scientific school of the department as a result of efficient operation of the department of composition of the following research areas formed over the years:

- Modernization and optimization of technological processes and apparatuses of chemical industry and related industries;

- Development of methods and instruments for monitoring, parameters and processes of industrial production;

- Development of methods and algorithms of process control systems and production under conditions of uncertainty;

     Based on the results obtained from the research activities of the department, published more than 50 monographs, over 500 scientific articles in leading national and international journals, has received more than 200 patents, copyright sveditelstv and other protective documents for inventions and software products.

     On the part of the scientific staff of the department is protected by more than 20 doctoral and 100 master's theses.

    In kafedre regularly conducted research projects in fundamental, applied and innovative projects in the framework of the state scientific and technical programs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

      The department has electronic lectures and materials on 17 special subjects bachelor and 6 electronic lectures on specialty Magistracy.

Brief information about the auditory and laboratory cabinets

     In the Tashkent Technical University on faculty «Automation of processes and works" prepared personnel for the Republic in the direction of automation of technological processes and production.

     Due to the measures taken for the development of industries in the Republic pays special attention to the training of highly qualified personnel in the automation of technological processes and production.

    The department "Automation of production processes" in November 2010 in conjunction with the "Honeywell's" corporation (USA) have been created "Honeywell's" training center and training laboratory. "Honeywell's" Training Center is equipped with the latest technology corporation «Honeywell's" and the software package UNISIM DESIGN, provided by JSC "Honeywell" (Russia).

     At the time of automation corporation «Honeywell» are widely used in the chemical, oil and gas, food industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The department established training labs on the technical means of automation and instrumentation for training bachelors and masters, as well as for training and retraining of operators and the passage of externship students of bachelor and master.

     With the help of a software package UNISIM DESIGN conducted to study the dynamic and static characteristics of the devices for the simulation model, the design of devices of technological processes and manufactures a variety of industries.

     The training center of «Honeywell» create all the conditions for the implementation of laboratory works the students bachelor and master, as well as for the research of senior scientists, researchers-applicants.

    Also, since 2005 at the Department operates a technical center SIEMENS (Germany). The technical center is equipped with controllers, programmers and other technical means by SIEMENS, as well as all the necessary conditions for students and senior researchers-applicants. In this center of professors and undergraduates of the department established laboratory stands for the control of process parameters on the basis of technical equipment of the company SIEMENS.

General characteristics of the Bachelor

     Direction 5311000 - Automation and management of technological processes and manufactures (on branches) included in the State educational standards of continuous education in Uzbekistan, the State Educational Standard of Higher Education, The qualifier of directions and specialties of higher education.

     The standard duration of study in the direction at the internal form of training - 4 years. Academic degree - "Bachelor".

     5311000 - Automation and management of technological processes and manufactures (on branches) - the direction in the field of science and technology, which includes a set of controls, regulation and control systems, as well as control and management principles, designed for optimal control of technical objects.

     Objects of professional work of the bachelor are technical systems, high-technological devices and equipment and control systems, regulation and control, methods and means of setting up, operation and maintenance, as well as project documents for the control systems, regulation and control.

     Bachelor in accordance with the fundamental, general professional and special preparation can carry out following kinds of professional activity:

- Production and technology: the production of hardware and software products, the creation of automation and control systems specified quality; testing and debugging software and hardware; preparation of software and hardware automation and control systems and their transfer to production and support; aggregation of hardware and software, creation of software and hardware automation and control systems;

- Design: design of architecture hardware and software systems of automatic and automated control systems for industrial and special assignments in different sectors of the economy; choice of hardware and software for automatic and automated systems of control and management of various nature; development of functional, logical and technical organization of automatic and automated control systems, their technical, algorithmic and software based on modern methods, tools and design technologies;

- Experimental research: the conduct and processing of the results of experimental studies on standard procedures, etc..

Bachelor in a direction 5311000 - Automation and management of technological processes and manufactures (on branches) can adapt for following kinds of professional activity:

- Production and management: work as an engineer, mechanic, technician, foreman, head of the types of control of technological processes and technical objects, etc .;

- Installation and commissioning work: planning and execution of installation and adjustment of controls, regulation and automatic control systems;

- Operational and maintenance services: the organization of operation, repair, maintenance and diagnostics of automatic control systems;

     The bachelor can work when due hereunder in educational institutions of higher and secondary special and professional education, as well as refresher courses and retraining.

     Bachelor prepared for training in magistracy direction 5311000 - Automation and management of technological processes and manufactures (on branches) as well as the related direction (specialty) of education is determined by the authorized body of driving at least two years in the following specialties:

5A311001 - Automation of technological processes and manufactures (on branches);

5A311001 - Automation and remote control of railway transport;

5A311003 - Navigation and Air Traffic Control;

     General characteristics of specialty 5A311001- Automation of technological processes and production (chemical, petrochemical and food industries) graduate is given in the State educational standard "General requirements for the required content and the level of readiness of masters in the field on the basis of bachelor direction-5311000 Automation and management of technological processes and manufactures ( by industry)

     The objects of professional master's degree 5A311001- Automation of technological processes and production (chemical, petrochemical and food industries) are developing methods of design, construction, installation and operation of automatic process control systems and production, including methods for the synthesis of automated process management systems and manufactures continuous and batch (PCS), and the manufacturing processes of the elements of functional devices and automation and control systems, and their after-sales service and project support.

     In accordance with a special, scientific-research and scientific-pedagogical preparation of the master's degree in 5A311001- Automation of technological processes and production (chemical, petrochemical and food industries) can perform the following professional activities:

design - project: the design and debugging of automated industrial process plants, equipment and process control systems with the use of computer-aided design (CAD) and modern information technologies;

experimental - research: the study of complex processes in various industries, both in the laboratory and in a production environment using modern methods and management tools and practice;

production and management: management of departments on the construction, design and operation of automatic and automated control and management of process equipment;

research and teaching: teaching activities in special disciplines in educational institutions of higher and secondary special and professional education.
