HISTORY OF MECHANICAL FACULTY

The faculty of Mechanics was established in 2017. During the formation of the faculty, 8 departments work at the department: Materials science, Pressure metal processing, Foundry technologies, Refrigeration units and cryogenic engineering, Technological machines and equipment, Theoretical mechanics and theory of mechanisms and machines, Resistance of materials and machine parts, General physics. Currently, 100 teachers work in it, including 14 doctors of sciences, professors, 26 candidates of sciences, associate professors. Scientific potential is 40 %.
Currently, the faculty consists of 7 areas of undergraduate education: Materials science and technology of new materials (by industry); Machines for metal forming; Rolling technology; Foundry technology; Technological machines and equipment (by industry), Machines and units of refrigeration and cryogenic equipment and air conditioning systems, Welding technology and equipment and 7 specialties: Metallurgical machines and equipment (by type of production), Rolling production of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, Foundry technology (by types), Materials science and technology of new materials (by industry), Metal forming, Machines and units of refrigeration and cryogenic equipment, air conditioning systems, Operation and repairing metallurgical machinery and equipment.
