History of the department:
The Department of Laser Technologies and Optoelectronics was established by order No. 2524 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated May 2, 2016, “Development of Tashkent State Technical University.” Head of Department – Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor Jusupov Javdat Bakidzhanovich. Yusupov D.B. graduated from the Physics Faculty of the Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov in the direction of “wave processes.” 1978–1981 was a graduate student at Moscow State University. Under the leadership of D.B. Yusupov conducted and conducted research on fundamental grants funded from the state budget F-02-78 (2007-2011), F2-49 (2011-2016) and F2-45 (2017-2020) . Currently, the department enrolls in 1-3 courses of undergraduate 5312900 – “Laser technologies and optoelectronics” 57 students, graduate 5A312901 – “Laser technologies and optoelectronics” 6 students and 5A312902 – “LED technologies” 4 students. 8 full-time faculty members are allocated to the department, 6 of them are the main ones, including Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor D. B. Yusupov, I.A. Kulagin, W.K. Sapaev, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor T.Z. Nasirov, senior teacher N.K. Abdullaev, as well as assistants. Mustafakulov and D.M. Nomozov. The senior staff of the Institute of Ion-Plasma and Laser Technologies of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences Kurbanov S.S., associate professors of the Photonics Department of the National University of Uzbekistan, Candidate of Physics and Mathematics I. work at 2 full-time units of the department. BUT. Soloviev and A.K. Kasimov, as well as an employee of the military-technical institute of the National Guard of the Republic of Uzbekistan, candidate of physical and mathematical sciences
The process of laboratory classes for students in the discipline “Fundamentals of Optics” on laboratory equipment, given from Germany.
In particular, Professor D.B. Yusupov conducted educational and pedagogical activities at the University of Great Britain (1999, the Ustoz Foundation), the Paderborn University of Germany (2005, a fellow of the DAAD Foundation) and the Moscow State University (2006, the Istedod Foundation). Together with scientists from the University of Rome (Prof. G. Assanto) and Moscow State University (Prof. A. Chirkin), Professor Yusupov was the owner of an international grant CBR.EAP.CLG 983708 on the topic “Frequency Conservation of Ultra-Short Laser Pulses in Periodic and Aperiodic Nonlinear Photonic Lattices”. As part of the tasks of this grant, in particular, prof. G. Assanto visited Uzbekistan and organized a video seminar in the meeting room of Tashkent State Technical University with the participation of scientists from universities of our republic. Below is a photograph of the participants in this seminar. In turn, prof. D.B. Yusupov was twice invited to the University of Rome and thus joint scientific ties were strengthened. For his teaching activities in educating the young generation and achievements in the research field by the Order of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated July 19, 2006, prof. D.B.
