In order to improve the quality of educational and scientific work, learning and apply the experience of foreign countries, in particular European countries, in the educational process, Tashkent State Technical University carries out many actions.
The international project “MechaUZ: Modernization of the faculty “Mechatronics and Robotics” for Bachelor degree in Uzbekistan through Innovative Ideas and Digital Technology” is also an activity carried out by the university in accordance with the grant agreement 609564-EPP-1-2019-1-EL-EPPKA2-SBHE-JP of the European Union program Erasmus +.
The kick-off meeting of the CBHE project “MechaUZ: Modernization of mechatronics and robotics for bachelor’s degree in Uzbekistan with the help of innovative ideas and digital technologies” was held on February 11-14 in Thessaloniki, Greece. The project consortium brings together 13 universities from 5 countries: Uzbekistan, Portugal, Latvia, Lithuania and Greece.
On the first day of the meeting, a number of presentations of the MechaUZ project were made by the project-owning university. In particular, all universities made short introductory presentations. All the identified tasks of the project were then discussed one by one by the members of the consortium. The main goal of the project is to introduce mechatronics and robotics in Uzbek universities in accordance with the requirements of European universities.At the same time, the existing European universities in the consortium will form the specialization part of the curriculum in cooperation with the universities of Uzbekistan. The project also envisages the establishment of laboratories in the universities of Uzbekistan to teach specialties of the direction. Professors who teach in the new direction are trained in courses organized by European universities in Uzbekistan, Portugal and Lithuania. The online meeting was held on April 7 in order not to deviate from the action plan.
