Official news: The delegation of Tashkent State Technical University took part in a meeting of the Public Council and the Association of CIS Technical Universities in Moscow.

On November 27-28, 2019, the official delegation of Tashkent State Technical University, consisting of the vice-rector of the university, Professor Mannanov U.V. and director of the Almalyk branch of Tashkent State Technical University Samadov A.U. took part in a meeting of the Public Council and the Association of Technical Universities of the CIS in Moscow. The topic of the meeting is “On Ways of Development of the Mining and Metallurgical Complex of the CIS Countries”.

The meeting participants were welcomed by the Rector of NUST “MISiS” Professor Chernikova Alevtina Anatolyevna and President of the Association of Financial and Industrial Groups Soskovets Oleg Nikolaevich.

The meeting of the Public Council is held twice a year and gathers representatives of embassies, the business community and heads of leading universities of the CIS member states to discuss the development of various areas at universities in Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Armenia, etc.

At this meeting, participants discussed approaches to educational processes, trends in metallurgy and mining, and jointly implemented projects and applied research.

NITU MISiS cooperates with 14 business partners from the CIS countries in the field of education, including Uzmetkombinat, (Uzbekistan), Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Plant JSC (Uzbekistan), SUE TALCO (Tajikistan), Akimat of Kyzylorda Oblast ( Kazakhstan).

An excursion was organized to the scientific laboratories of NUST “MISiS” and joint projects with business, such as the Green Metallurgy Center, the UC RUSAL RetD Center, the Laboratory for Advanced Precision Materials and many others equipped with the most advanced digital technologies, devices and equipment.
