On July 22, 2019, training seminars on the topic “Technologies of satellite remote sensing of the Earth” began. The training seminar was organized by the Japanese Corporation of Manned Space Systems (JAMSS), which received a grant from the Government of Japan to implement a new foreign public-private partnership in the development of space systems. JAMSS is one of the leading Japanese companies in the field of space technology, recognizes the value of the implementation of this project in Asian countries. Uzbekistan and Tashkent State Technical University have been chosen as a representative country and the leading technical university of Central Asia, which conducts research in the field of space technology.
With guests met Vice-Rector for International Relations Professor U.V.Mannanov, director of the Uzbek-Japan Innovation Center of Youth E.B.Khaltursunov, Dean of the Faculty of Aerospace N.A.Abduzhabarov. They briefly told about the activities of the Tashkent State Technical University, the Center and the faculty of aerospace technologies of Tashkent State Technical University.
The lectures and practical exercises are teached by a leading engineer of JAMSS Dr. Dorj Ichikawa and Director of the Center for Research and Applications of Satellite Remote Sensing Dr. Masahiko Nagai. Leading teachers of the departments of Aerospace Technologies and Mining and Metallurgy of Tashkent State Technical University, young specialists of the Center for Remote Sensing of the Earth and GIS technologies of the State Enterprise “Institute of Mineral Resources” of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on geology and mineral resources are invited to the courses.
Japanese experts are familiar with the information and provide information about the capabilities of satellite and other types of remote sensing of the Earth. The seminar will continue until July 26, 2019.
