From 10 to 15 June 2019, by the invitation of the Chinese side, a delegation of the Tashkent State Technical University was visited as part of the Vice-Rector for International Relations Professor Mannanov U.V. and Head of the International Relations Department, Azimov Sh., North China University of Technology (NCUT), Beijing, People’s Republic of China.
The main purpose of the visit was the establishment of friendly relations between educational institutions, acquaintance with the educational and industrial, scientific and laboratory base of NCUT and the signing of the Agreement on cooperation between NCUT and TSTU.
In addition, a meeting was scheduled with students of TSTU, studying for a semester at the faculties of NCUT.
In accordance with the agreed stay program, meetings were scheduled with the Chair of the NCUT Council, Professor Zen Wentang, President of the NCUT, Professor Ding Hui, and Vice-Rector for International Relations, Professor Shen Zhili.
The visits to educational and industrial laboratories of the Mechanical Faculty, the Faculty of Electronics and Computer Science, the Faculty of Energy, the Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering, and the International School were organized.
As a result of the negotiations, a Cooperation Agreement was signed between NCUT and the TSTU, which, starting from the 2019-2020 school year, enroll students for joint educational programs of double diplomas in 2 + 2 format in four areas of 15 people in each group with instruction in English language:
– electronic information engineering (computer science and information technology);
– microelectronics (electronics and instrument engineering);
– mechanical design of production and its automation (engineering technology, equipment and automation of industrial production);
– mechatronics engineering (mechatronics and robotics).
An agreement was reached on the exchange of students and teachers on the program of student and teaching mobility: each year each side may select up to 5 students or graduate students to study at a university partner for 2 semesters or 10 students or graduate students to study at a partner university for 1 th semester. Discussed and the financing of these exchanges.
A meeting was held with students of TSTU, studying at NCUT for 6 months already, they were all satisfied with their studies, successfully completed the session, and most importantly, honed their knowledge of English!
